"Artist Statement 08’
Painting, for me, is a spiritual exercise…. To see how far I can trust the authentic flow and practice releasing the “need to know” outcome.
I like to paint unseen beneficial forces and a lot of these spirit creatures present themselves to me on my canvas. It’s sort of a Zen thing…Being where I am in the moment and not getting ahead of myself.
There are a lot of different influences which are a part of me in both painting styles and points of view and I am especially delighted by the vibration of certain colors.
I am not surprised when Goddesses or Cosmic Divas are revealed in my paintings, or Rainbow People or the Feminine Spirit. I am interested in the soul of people thru the ages and the strength of Love and how WE, as Brothers All, are going to make PEACE with ourselves and each other.
We have within the ability to Co-Create our own Reality but we need to create a sacred space around us to be able to flow with our spirit. Painting helps me create my space. These paintings are my Painted Prayers.. For the healing of myself and others.
