My paintings begin with color and move to the rhythm of intuition.

I grew up in Miami, Florida, and the color, energy, and tropical atmosphere of my surroundings continue to influence my paintings today.

My creative life began in the performing arts after graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. I appeared in film and on Broadway before turning my attention to music and songwriting. During the 1960s and 1970s, I spent time in recording studios with artists including Mick Jagger, Steve Winwood, Traffic, Jimi Hendrix, Carole King, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Dr. John, and Dave Frishberg. Living in Laurel Canyon and being surrounded by musicians, writers, and performers shaped my lifelong appreciation for rhythm, spontaneity, and creative freedom.

I began painting while working as a real estate broker and became a full-time artist in 1990, when I moved to Washington State. Since then, my work has been exhibited in galleries and museums, including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Bellevue Arts Museum, and a solo exhibition at the Frye Art Museum.

Color and rhythm are the central ingredients in my work. Guided by music, intuition, and a sense of spiritual connection, I create paintings that are expressive, imaginative, and alive with movement.
